§ Mr. FELLasked how many floating docks for service on the East Coast are under construction or contract; and if, in addition to the floating dock to be moored in the Medway, it is proposed to place floating docks in the Tyne and in Cromarty Firth?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLThree floating docks are under construction for service on the East Coast—namely: One for battleships, to be stationed in the Medway; one for destroyers, to be stationed at Harwich; and one for submarines, to be stationed at Dover. I am informed that it is not proposed at present to place floating docks in the Tyne or in Cromarty Firth.
§ Mr. FELLIs it not a fact that the only floating dock on the East Coast available for "Dreadnoughts" in 1916 will be the one in the Medway?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLI am afraid I cannot add to my answer.
