asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland the number of magistrates appointed in Ireland for the year 1905 and for each of the following years up to and including 1910?

Mr. BIRRELL

The number of magistrates appointed in Ireland in the years 1905 to 1910 inclusive, was 190, 399, 373, 351, 258, and 317 respectively.
