§ The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)I am sorry to say that I am not yet able to make any definite statement as to the prospects of a telephone service being provided for Longford. I am, however, in discussion with 1404 the Treasury as to the general conditions on which telephone extensions of this kind can be undertaken and am taking steps to obtain an early decision.
