HC Deb 14 August 1911 vol 29 c1542
Sir HENRY CRAIK

asked whether, in view of the impending vacancy amongst the Prison Commissioners in Scotland, steps will be taken to carry into effect the recommendations of various committees, including the Scottish Departmental Committee in 1902, that there should be a medical member on the Board of the Prison Commissioners.

Mr. URE

It would be premature to make any statement on the subject. I am aware of the recommendation referred to by the hon. Member, which was made by the Departmental Committee on Scottish Prisons in 1900.
