Major STANLEYasked whether officers in the Army who have no private means and whose pay is less than £160 per annum will be compulsorily insured under the National Insurance Bill?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEThe answer is in the negative.
MARQUESS of TULLIBARDINESeeing that these officers at out-stations are already entitled to ½d. per diem for medical attendance, will the right hon. Gentleman not allow them to have full benefit for supply of medicine at ½d. per week, thus making up the sum of 4d. as required by the Bill?
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEThat is a question that I would rather consider when we come to the Clause dealing with the Army.
§ Mr. LLOYD GEORGEI should not like to answer that without notice. If the hon. Member will be good enough to give notice I will certainly consider it.
