§ Mr. CHURCHILLThe number of accidents at the Fairfield shipbuilding yard reported under the Factory Acts since the 1st January is 283, including three fatal accidents. The figures refer to the whole of the works, where more than 5,000 persons are employed. The works in question have received special attention from the inspecting staff, six visits having been paid this year.
