HC Deb 11 April 1911 vol 24 c230
Mr. CLYNES

asked the Prime Minister, respecting the proposed insurance against unemployment, whether it is intended, in the case of lowly-paid labourers, to ask from them a lesser insurance contribution than from higher-paid workmen; whether the position of labourers when kept unemployed through disputes of which they are helpless will be considered; and whether due provision will be made for men in casual and seasonal classes of work?

Mr. BUXTON

I am afraid I cannot enter into the details of the Government scheme for insurance against unemployment; but I shall be prepared to consider any representations that my hon. Friend may make to me on the subject.
