HC Deb 11 April 1911 vol 24 c226
Mr. HAROLD BAKER

asked whether the employés of the National Telephone Company, on their transfer to the Post Office, will receive the same rates of pay as they received from the company?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

The employés of the National Telephone Company, on their transfer to the Post Office, will enjoy the advantages of the rank and grade to which they are admitted, and in so far as their salaries have not been raised on account of duties connected with the transfer, or in any way abnormally since the 1st January, 1910, I think I can say that the rates of pay will not be less, and in many cases will be greater, than have been paid by the company.
