HC Deb 11 April 1911 vol 24 c244
Mr. CHARLES BATHURST

asked whether, in view of the popular apprehension as to the consumption of raw milk-arising from uncertainty as to the number of milch cattle either affected with tuberculosis of the udder or visibly emaciated by tuberculosis, the Government will, by legislative enactment or administrative order, require compulsory notification to a local authority, subject to a penalty for non-compliance, of all such cases occurring within its area, and thus ascertain the locality and extent of such sources of danger to human health?

Sir E. STRACHEY

The question of the issue of an order is now under consideration, but the question of compensation must also be considered.
