HC Deb 11 April 1911 vol 24 c242
Mr. OLIVER LOCKER-LAMPSON

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether his attention had been drawn to the recent abnormal floods in Northern Huntingdonshire; and whether his Department could contribute anything towards the loss, amounting to thousands of pounds, incurred by small holders in the district?

Sir E. STRACHEY

Yes, Sir, and I greatly regret the calamity to which the hon. Member refers, but the Board have no power to make any Grant-in-Aid.
