HC Deb 04 April 1911 vol 23 cc1996-7
Mr. SAMUEL ROBERTS

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether his attention has been drawn to the proposals contained in the Control and Supervision of Clubs Bill introduced this Session; and whether the principle of the Bill will receive the approval of the Government?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. Churchill)

The expression of opinion invited by the hon. Member would more properly find a place in a Second Reading Debate, and I cannot at the present time add anything to the answer on the subject of club legislation given by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister to the hon. Member for the Barkston Ash Division last Tuesday.
