§ Mr. MALCOLMasked whether the Army Order concerning the new crimson and gold sashes has been, or is about to be, withdrawn in consequence of the general opposition to it recently expressed in this House; and whether, in the event of its withdrawal, the Secretary of State will recoup such officers as may have already purchased the new sash by placing their expenses on the Army Estimates?
§ Colonel SEELYThe Army Order referred to was cancelled on the 30th ultimo. Any claims for out-of-pocket expenditure incurred before the Order was cancelled will be favourably considered.
