§ 84. Lieut.-Colonel Sir S. HOAREasked the Postmaster-General why the mails which arrive from America on the "Aquitania" on 10th May were not de livered in London until 14th May?
§ Mr. PEASEThe delay in the delivery of the mails brought by the "Aquitania" was occasioned by a sudden strike of the dock porters employed by the Great Western Railway Company at Plymouth, who refused to handle the bags. The mails were in the tender from 3 o'clock p.m. on the 10th until 3.15 p.m. on the 13th instant before they were transferred to the train for conveyance to the delivery offices.
