HC Deb 21 May 1910 vol 116 c392
89. Mr. REMER

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware of the congestion on the railways; that complaints are being made by traders; and that the reply being given by railway goods managers is that there is a short age of railway wagons and rolling stock generally; whether he is aware that very few orders are being placed by the rail way companies and traders for new rail way wagons; and what action he proposes to take to relieve the situation?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I am aware of the position referred to in the first part of the question. I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer, of which I am sending him a copy, given on Monday last in reply to a question on this subject asked by the hon. Member For North Salford.
