§ Mr. WILESasked the Postmaster-General if he was aware that an advertisement appeared in the Post Office Circular of 1st March last with reference to the vacant postmastership of Fermoy, stating that there was no official residence at Fermoy, and that, as houses suitable for a postmaster were difficult to obtain, the appointment was only suitable for a 936 bachelor or a married man without a family; and whether, seeing that such a restriction unduly handicaps suitable applicants, he would consider the advisability of overcoming the difficulty by providing an official residence?
§ Mr. HERBERT SAMUELI will look into the matter, and will communicate with the hon. Member.
