HC Deb 15 March 1910 vol 15 cc195-6
Mr. CONDON

asked, with reference to the pension granted on 12th February to Mrs. Annie Mantle, of Summerhill, Clonmel, whether the Chief Secretary is aware that she has not yet received her pension book; and whether, as no appeal was entered against the pension, he will direct it to be paid as from the date of the pension committee's decision?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Hobhouse) (for the Chief Secretary)

A pension was granted, as stated, on 12th February last to Mrs. Annie Mantle, against whom there is a debt due to the Crown under Section 9 (2) of the Old Age Pensions Act, and delivery of the pension order book is being deferred until the amount of the debt is recovered by deduction.
