HC Deb 14 March 1910 vol 15 cc27-8
Sir WILLIAM BULL

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has any official information showing that 3,000 woolcombers in Bradford, Yorkshire, recently decided to cease work for fourteen days because a firm of employers in Bradford engaged three men through a Labour Exchange instead of through the men's society; and whether he proposes to take any action in the matter?

Mr. BUXTON

I am glad to say that the recent dispute, to which the hon. Member refers, terminated on Friday. So far as I am aware there was no foundation for the statement that the strike was due to any action on the part of the Labour Exchange.
