HC Deb 09 March 1910 vol 14 c1450
Mr. FALLE

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he would consider the giving all men employed in His Majesty's dockyards an equal chance of being placed on the establishment, that was to say, would he favourably consider the case of the class known as hired men?

Mr. McKENNA

The cases of men who have become over age whilst the establishment has been suspended will receive special consideration. In other respects the matter will be dealt with in accordance with the regulations.

Mr. FALLE

Will there be any change made?

Mr. McKENNA

The regulations will be followed. There will be no change in the ordinary regulations governing the establishment except that the men who become over age in the service of the establishment will have their case specially considered.
