HC Deb 20 June 1910 vol 18 cc14-5
Mr. FELL

asked if the right hon. Gentleman proposes at an early date to make a visit of inspection of the dockyard and fortress at Gibraltar?

Mr. McKENNA

I regret that I have no immediate prospect of finding time for a visit to Gibraltar?

Mr. FELL

As his visit was unfortunately interrupted, is it the intention of the right hon. Gentleman to visit Gibraltar in a short while or within a reasonable time?

Mr. McKENNA

I should do so if I had the opportunity. I could not answer as to the future.

Mr. FELL

asked if the right hon. Gentleman has had any recent reports made on the condition of the fortress of Gibraltar and its powers of resisting modern guns and explosives?

Mr. McKENNA

Any report on the fortress of Gibraltar would be made to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for War.
