§ Mr. HOBHOUSEThe Commissioners of Woods have recently purchased an estate at Scotscalder, Caithness, containing about 13,600 acres, for £46,500. It adjoins other Crown property, and is considered a desirable investment for their available funds. It is at present let to tenants in the ordinary way, and portions of it appear to be suitable for conversion into small holdings.
