HC Deb 12 July 1910 vol 19 c178
Mr. BOTTOMLEY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether Colonel Goikovitch, one of the principal assassins of King Alexander and Queen Draga, has now been appointed Servian Minister of War; whether he considered that appointment a violation of the agreement which re-established diplomatic relations between Great Britain and Servia; and, if so, whether he now proposed to recall the British Minister from Belgrade?

Sir E. GREY

The appointment of a British Minister to Belgrade was made dependent upon the retirement of the principal regicides from official posts: Colonel Goikovitch was not included in this category, and his appointment does not violate the conditions under which diplomatic relations with Servia were resumed.
