HC Deb 12 July 1910 vol 19 c192
Mr. JOHN PHILLIPS

asked the Postmaster-General whether he will state the number of letters passed weekly through the post-offices of Drumlish and Kenagh, county Longford, both respectively; and the reason why Kenagh is riot treated in the same business manner as Drumlish?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)

The number of letters delivered weekly through the post offices at Drumlish and Kenagh is 918 and 716 respectively. A second delivery of letters and a Sunday service are afforded at Drumlish the expense incurred being very small. In the case of Kenagh, however, corresponding services would involve considerable additional cost on account of local circumstances.
