HC Deb 23 February 1910 vol 14 cc206-7
Mr. WEDGWOOD

asked the Postmaster-General when he proposes to make the long-promised change in the staffing of the Tunstall post office, whereby females will be relieved from the very early morning duties?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)

The change will be made at once. The females will be relieved of the early attendances as soon as the male sorting clerks and telegraphists are qualified for the duties.
