HC Deb 19 April 1910 vol 16 cc1891-2
Mr. O'DOWD

asked whether the rural district council of Boyle (No. 2), South Sligo, at a meeting held on the 2nd instant, passed a resolution protesting against the action of the Local Government Board in forcing the council to adopt the Cowsheds and Milkshops Order; and, if so, what action, if any, he proposes to take in regard to the matter?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Local Government Board have received the resolution, and in reply have fully explained the effect of the Order in question, and have requested the council to carry out their duties as defined therein. At the same time the Board have warned the council that, in the event of non-compliance, legal proceedings will have to be instituted.
