HC Deb 12 April 1910 vol 16 c1047
Major ADAM

asked what was the minimum strength for the Royal Arsenal at Woolwich now contemplated by the Government?

Mr. HALDANE

Until the full effect of the decision of the Admiralty not to place orders for gun mountings with the Ordnance Factories has been ascertained the future minimum establishment cannot be fixed, but some reduction on the limits for the Gun and Carriage Factory will probably be unavoidable. The last order received from the Admiralty for gun mountings and the only one now in hand will be completed this financial year, so that we shall not feel the full effect of the Admiralty decision until 1911–12.
