HC Deb 07 April 1910 vol 16 c593
Mr. FLAVIN

asked the Chief Secretary whether he could state if the home farm on the Blacker-Douglas estate, at Tullihinal, Asdee, North Kerry, had been offered for sale to the Estates Commissioners for division amongst the poor people of the district; whether it had been purchased by the Estates Commissioners, and, if so, when; and, if purchased, why was there such a long delay in dividing and giving possession to the poor people of the new holdings?

Mr. REDMOND BARRY

The Estates Commissioners inform me that 206 acres of the lands in question were sold direct by the vendor to persons nominated by the, Estates Commissioners at prices estimated by them. Of these lands 155 acres have already been vested in the purchasers, and the Commissioners hope that the remainder will be vested in the immediate future.
