HC Deb 05 April 1910 vol 16 cc195-6
Mr. PETO

asked the Secretary of State for War whether any regulation harness had been issued to any field ambulances in the Wessex Territorial Division, E.A.M.C., and, if so, to what units and on what dates; and, if not, what arrangements had been made to enable units to become efficient by regular driving drill?

Mr. HALDANE

No harness has as yet been supplied to the units in question, but every effort is being made to supply it in sufficient time to admit of its use at this year's training. It must be remembered that harness has had to be specially purchased for many of the units, as the supplies handed over by the old volunteer units were not sufficient to meet all requirements.
