1231§ Mr. CLAUDE HAYWill the hon. Gentleman in charge give us some explanation of the Bill. It has been sprung upon us.
§ Mr. JEREMIAH MacVEAGHIt is a very simple little Bill, empowering local authorities in Ireland to levy a rate, not exceeding 1d. in the £, for the purpose of advertising health resorts situated within the area of their jurisdiction. It is purely optional, and is supported by Irish Members of all parties.
§ Resolved, "That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House."—[Mr. Joseph Pease.]
