§ Mr. MARKHAMasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state what are the reasons which caused him to refuse the request of the Mines Royal Commission for a grant to make experiments on the use of electricity in mines; and whether, in view of further recent explosions believed to be due to electricity, causing the loss of large numbers of men, he will reconsider his decision in this matter?
