§ Mr. JOHN MURPHYasked the Chief Secretary whether he has now received full assurances from the different sections of Irish school managers indicating their readiness to provide half the expense of heating and cleansing schools; whether these assurances were given on the understanding that steps would be taken to carry through a suitable arrangement before the winter set in; and whether, seeing the urgent need for dealing with this matter in the interests of the children, he can see his way to guarantee the payment of the Treasury contribution in such manner as would enable the schools to be properly heated and cleansed during the winter of 1909–10?
§ Mr. CHERRYI would refer the hon. Member to the replies given to his previous questions on this subject, and to the letter which my right hon. Friend the Chief Secretary has, I understand, addressed to him.
