Captain CRAIGasked if the fund proposed to be created under the Development and Road Improvement Bill could be utilised for the nationalisation of Irish railways without further sanction of such a scheme by Parliament; if so, whether Treasury officials are specially acquainted with the management of Irish railways; and, if not, what machinery is it proposed to set up to deal with schemes of such magnitude and importance?
