§ The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Hobhouse)The accounts in respect of the River Shannon are kept by financial and not by calendar years. It is not possible to give the figures of receipts and expenditure in such full detail as asked for in the hon. Member's proposed Return. He will, however, find the figures for the year 1908–9 set out in a fairly complete form in an answer given by me to a question by the hon. Member for North Armagh on 5th July last. I am sending the hon. Member a copy of the answer referred to, and in these circumstances it does not appear to me necessary to grant the Return asked for.
