§ The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Buxton)The announcement which appears in "The Times" was not supplied by the Post Office. The statement is premature, as the arrangements are not yet complete. The negotiations are, moreover, to a certain extent contingent on the success of somewhat similar and simultaneous Post Office negotiations with Lloyds, which also are not yet complete. When the arrangements are finally completed I propose to make a statement on the subject in the House.
