HC Deb 06 September 1909 vol 10 cc905-6
Mr. T. P. O'CONNOR

I have given my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary private notice of a queston in reference to the disturbances in Liverpool yesterday. As I do not see my right hon. Friend here possibly the notice did not reach him, and perhaps I had better postpone my question unless my hon. Friend (Mr. Masterman) knows something about the matter.

The UNDER-SECRETARY to the HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. Masterman)

My right hon. Friend (Mr. Gladstone) tells me that he has no information, but he has telegraphed to the Head Constable of Liverpool for information, and perhaps he will have it to-morrow.
