§ Clause 1, Sub-section (4) to leave out the words "with the consent of the county council, or the county council may," and to insert instead thereof the words "may, and at the request of the county council shall."
§ Question proposed, "That the House agree with the Lords in the said Amendment."

§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Joseph Pease)These Amendments are comparatively simple and almost formal. The effect is that the Department, having entire control over these orders, will be obliged to agree to the action of the people's representatives in the event of a county council asking that a particular order shall be revoked.
