§ Mr. BARNES (on behalf of Mr. Summerbell)asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is yet in a position to make a statement as to the restoration of the municipal council to Port of Spain, West Indies; and, if not, when such a statement might be expected?
§ The UNDER-SECRETARY for the COLONIES (Colonel Seely)The Secretary of State is awaiting the recommendations which the new Governor of the Colony will make when he has had time to study the question. I am not at present in a position to make any statement on the subject.
