HC Deb 04 October 1909 vol 11 cc1661-2
Mr. BOLAND

asked the Chief Secretary whether, in view of the hardship inflicted on those students who have taken Irish as an honours subject in the recent intermediate examination, he will state when the Intermediate Board propose to revise the existing rules; and whether the necessary steps will be taken before the close of the present Session of Parliament?

Mr. BIRRELL

I have referred this question to the Commissioners of Intermediate Education, to whom it will be submitted at the next meeting of the Board on the 22nd instant. It is obviously impossible for me to reply to the question until the Commissioners have considered it.
