HC Deb 04 October 1909 vol 11 cc1656-7
Mr. GOULDING

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, owing to the extensive changes made in the Finance Bill during the Committee stage considerably affecting the revenue from the new taxes, the later date at which many of the new taxes are to be enforced, and the disappointment in the yield of certain items of revenue, he will before the Report stage submit to the House corrected figures of the estimated revenue for each of the taxes to be imposed during the current financial year?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

My right hon. Friend will endeavour to lay a revised estimate before the House, if possible before the Report stage of the Finance Bill has been entered upon.
