HC Deb 04 November 1909 vol 12 c1988
Mr. SUMMERBELL

asked the Undersecretary for the Colonies whether the Governor of British Guiana has yet been consulted as to whether, on the occasion of the next vacancy on the Executive Council for British Guiana, favourable consideration will be given to the appointment of a representative of labour, which is at present unrepresented?

The UNDER-SECRETARY for the COLONIES (Colonel SEELY)

The Governor of British Guiana has been consulted on this suggestion, but there has not yet been sufficient time for him to consider it and make any recommendations on the subject.
