HC Deb 03 November 1909 vol 12 c1815
Mr. ARTHUR LYNCH

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether the police patrol at Mullagh, county Clare, has been increased recently; and, if so, whether he can state the reason for such increase?

The CHIEF SECRETARY for IRELAND (Mr. Birrell)

I am informed by the constabulary authorities that the station in question is at its fixed strength. Two men who were lately sent there were, on a few occasions, accompanied when on patrol in the daytime by a constable who had a knowledge of the district, as is usual in such cases.
