HC Deb 03 November 1909 vol 12 cc1805-6
Mr. RENWICK

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether it is the intention of the Government to conclude treaties with the foreign nations represented at the recent conference of the International Maritime Committee held at Brussels, giving effect to the resolutions in regard to collisions and salvage at sea, and which were unanimously approved at the conference?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. McKinnon Wood)

The Report of His Majesty's Delegates to the recent International Maritime Conference at Brussels has not yet been received. When it arrives, full consideration will be given to the question whether the Draft Conventions discussed at the Conference can properly receive the assent of His Majesty's Government.
