HC Deb 18 May 1909 vol 5 cc229-30
Mr. MORRELL

asked the President of the Local Government Board when he proposes to proceed with the Housing and Town Planning Bill?

The PRESIDENT of the LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. Burns)

I am desirous of proceeding with the Bill as soon as the state of public business will permit.

Mr. MORRELL

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the Prime Minister expressly said at the end of last Session that he would take every step to try to carry this Bill through at an early date this Session, and will he see that that promise is carried out?

Mr. BURNS

I am aware of what the Prime Minister has said, and my answer is not incompatible with his statement.
