§ Sir E. STRACHEYThe exportation of horses which, owing to infirmity, cannot be conveyed without cruelty during the intended passage and on landing, is prohibited by the Exportation of Horses Order of 1898. The enforcement of that Order in this country rests with the Local Authorities, and the supervision of the traffic by sea is carried out by our Inspectors, who make frequent voyages for the purpose.
§ Mr. KILBRIDECan the right hon. Gentleman say whether he has any information if these infirm horses return to this country in the shape of sausages?
