HC Deb 17 May 1909 vol 5 c22
Lord ROBERT CECIL

asked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been called to the resolution passed on 27th April at the annual general meeting of the Bar to the effect that there is an imperative necessity for the immediate appointment of additional judges; whether he is aware that the resolution was proposed by the right hon. Member for Dublin University and seconded by the hon. Member for Reading, and carried unanimously by a very largely attended meeting; and whether the Government intend to take any steps in the matter?

The PRIME MINISTER

The matter is being carefully considered by the Government.
