§ Mr. JOHN PHILLIPSasked the Chief Secretary for Ireland when there will be a Return made by the Board of National Education (Ireland) to the Motion passed by this House on Tuesday, 1st December, 1908, relative to national education in Ireland?
§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Commissioners of National Education inform me that the Return is being prepared and will be furnished next month. For the purposes of the Return it was necessary to obtain and tabulate detailed statistics for about 8,400 schools and to ascertain the emoluments under different heads from State sources of about 12,700 individual teachers.
