HC Deb 10 May 1909 vol 4 cc1429-30
Mr. E. H. CARLILE (for Colonel Williams)

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what steps are now being taken to obtain official statistics as to the value of leasehold property, and of the dates on which existing leases determine?

Mr. LLOYD-GEORGE

The matter is in the hands of the Board of Inland Revenue.

Lord BALCARRES

Will the right hon. Gentleman state what steps are being taken?

Mr. LLOYD-GEORGE

I accepted the hon. Member's suggestion, and directed the Inland Revenue Department to take steps to provide him with information. I cannot state what steps they are taking, but I know that steps are being taken.
