HC Deb 03 May 1909 vol 4 c722
Major ANSTRUTHER-GRAY

asked the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether he has received full information that anthrax has broken out amongst the artillery horses at Alder-shot; and whether he will confer with the Secretary of State for War with a view to preventing the spread of contagion in the district?

The TREASURER of the HOUSEHOLD (Sir E. Strachey)

The reply to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. We are informed that the necessary steps to prevent the spread of contagion have been taken by the Army Veterinary Department.
