Member for the Barnstaple Division as representing the Charity Commissioners whether his attention has been called to the enclosure of the village green at Redenham, in the county of Hants; and what action they propose to take to protect the rights of the public in this matter?
§ Mr. SOARESThe Commissioners have made inquiries with respect to the village green, but so far as they have ascertained it does not appear to be subject to any charitable trust. If the hon. Member can furnish the Commissioners with primâ facie evidence of a right of user by the inhabitants they will direct a local inquiry to be held by an Assistant Commissioner.
