§ Mr. LONSDALEasked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether, in the payment out of purchase money for estates sold under the Irish Land Act, 1903, the record numbers are taken in strict rotation; and whether he will give a list of the record numbers of estates, the vendors of which have been paid since 1st January, 1902?
§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners inform me that the purchase money of estates is advanced in accordance with the Regulations made under Section 23 (8) of the Irish Land Act, 1903, which have been laid before Parliament. Record numbers are not an indication of the priority of estates, and it would therefore serve no useful purpose to furnish the list asked for by the hon. Member.
