Mr. TENNANTThe preparation of Returns of the earnings and other particulars covering all the workmen employed on and in connection with the railways in the United Kingdom has necessarily proved to be a laborious task. The companies have been actively assisting the Department, and I can assure the hon. Member that there will be no unnecessary delay at the Board of Trade in tabulating the Returns furnished and preparing a Report. I cannot, however, yet fix a date for the completion of the task.
